The Brilliant Emissary
ancient healer, diviner Maiden of Old Times Foras oversaw many generations of dragons as Matriarch. All of which ultimately leave for the ranks of war ne'er to return to the Averian clan. Some to fall in the battle, some to defect to other clans and alignments. Such a thing disheartened the elder dragon for some time and took stepped down. It wasn't until she regained her resolve that her presence was known in the clan once again. A resolve to regardless of title, rank or affiliation, to give them her aid and soothe their wounds. Though this burdens her, as gifted with divine sight, she is the seer of their demise. With softened features and a false smile, she tends to the ailments of the clan. This continued as Lysaer, an Imperial, took charge as Avera's scion and Patriarch. With him, Foras was content and was made his guard, but only for a short while until another, young Nocturne by the name of Ilara, came into the clan and took up the title and rank. Such an occupation she gladly forfiet for the sake of duties eslewhere within the clan. Truth be told, her zephyr gaze turned to that of another new arrival that illness seemed to spring up around, Amara. In her age, Foras had seen the glint of ambition in eyes of many a young dragon and with the newcomer, this was no different. Though most, being born to the affinity of Fire within the clan, sought battle not dominion. Such an ambition she only once saw in her days of a Nature guided clan. It was only months after she relinquished her duties to Ilara that turmoil began to stir. Dragons that seeming opposed Amara and her heretical ways ended up ill, poisoned or worse. Though Foras had no way to prove such, she kept close watch on the young Nocturne. Almost to the point of obsession. Too many had passed from the young one's deeds. Foras saw too many with the same fate much before their time, and Lysaer's numbers were dwindling. Only Lysaer and his wardogs remained. The rest either passed, left or defected to Amara's "cause." All until Amara took her move as the new scion and Matriarch and Ilara was cast into exile along with his mate. Foras was left with only that of the occasional vagaond that wandered through the clan that was once hers and Lysaer, the fallen embodiment of her values. Once she spoke out against the new Matriarch, but now her tongue has been held in fear of one saw forseeing her own downfall with the sight she held. Foras departed her tumultuous clan and found sanctuary with Cornifer, working as a healer and diviner for a clan that welcomed her as family.
