The life of a majestic imperial isn’t always as beautiful as one would imagine. Vinas parents were very invested in the social life and in public they always tried to maintain the perfect family image. Behind the curtains, the frustration held the reigns. They were unsatisfied with their lifes, anger and hatred soaked through the walls and Vina was the first to get caught in between the war fronts. Everything seemed to be her fault. She was mistreated and ignored by both her parents. The day she was kidnapped by a group of bandits was one of the most awful days. The bandits blackmailed her parents, one of them, a spiral, often came by and talked to Vina about a lot of things. He was keeping her entertained. Vina had learned to read dragons, she could see the fear in his eyes and she could also see him regularly readjusting his plans to get the best outcome for himself. He was a smart one. And Vina somehow knew, that given some different circumstances he would not play on the bad team. |

She started to talk him into her way of thinking, started to turn him over to her side, promising him a better, safer life out there without the stupid bad boys that wouldn’t understand him anyway. It worked, they both escaped the hideout and Vina was about to leave, to restart her life as someone else but something was holding her back. She had grown accustomed to the deep meaningful conversations, she started to miss the spiral even though she hadn’t left him yet. She turned around and doubted her own sanity for a second but then proposed to Linus, to stay with her, find a new life, hit the restart button. She once had heard of a place called the Wishing Well, where outcast could find a refuge and live their life in peace. |
