a fortunate rescue 		** The package nesting box arrived a week after Celeste and Reo's return to the island. The sun was only just breaching the horizon when Ravenlink signed the delivery off. Celeste was easy enough to locate-- the coatl had been recording the events of the recent adventure off of the island. Reo, however, had been harder to locate in recent days. The reincarnated deity had been off, more so than usual, and the sun had set again long before the pair located the Guardian.

Reo appeared to have been conversing with someone, but when they arrived there was no other dragon in sight. Ravenlink dismissed it as one of the Seer's magical ways, but Celeste couldn't help the doubt gnawing away at her mind. Something had been off from the moment Reo hatched, and she would get to the bottom of it.

But that was an story for another day.
