Biography
Sero's fate was sealed the day he hatched from his egg - he was to be pawned off to another clan in exchange for a more "nature-like" dragon. Not knowing his fate, Sero entered the world as a happy young dragon unaware of the terrible journey ahead of him: a life of slavery and imprisonment. Being sold to a band of egg thieves and pirates, Sero was tossed from ship to ship and clan to clan, being whipped and beaten and abused. Just after growing into an adult, Sero was whipped across the face for talking out of turn and the scar across his eye was the result. Though many of the female dragons of the clan see this as a rugged and mysterious look, Sero takes it as a painful reminder of his past and a reason to push forward through any obstacle he may face yet.
Barely even a couple of days after receiving his scar, Sero found an opportunity to escape and took it, though he did not have time to remove his shackles. His poorly constructed copper shackles began to dig into his skin and his wounds from his whippings were beginning to get infected - after several days on the run, Sero collapsed on the soft grass of the Windswept Plateau. It was here that his mate Aefnumn found him and carried him back to safety. Being the clans healer, Aefnumn easily remedied the small infection in Sero's lacerations, but the injuries from his chains were harder to tend to. Sero refused to take off his shackles, though he did allow Aefnumn to break their bindings. This became a sign of trust between the two and soon they were very good friends, and soon after that they announced their love to the members of the clan. None were surprised, however, as Sero was not very good at hiding his feelings towards the healer. He constantly praised Aefnumn's abilities and intelligence and would run to her for the smallest things, even the smallest little scale stub.
One of the only good memories Sero has from his past is that of his friend Solomon. Solomon, like Sero, was sold into slavery and had a chance to escape much earlier than he did, though the two became wonderful friends over the time they did share together. While the clan was searching for a nesting ground to claim as their own, Solomon thought he saw a glimmer of green gemstones catch the light and new immediately it was his best friend from his corrupted childhood. The two were reunited, and if not seen with Aefnumn, Sero is in the company of his friend, both stretching their strong wings under the sun and enjoying their well deserved freedom.
