Biography

Clan Role:
Helps Nausicaä on her quests, and otherwise just kinda hangs out around the clan Dragons of the clan generally consider Forestwake to be Nausicaä's calmer, more tempered half. While they have much in common - they both love to be out in the forest, listening to the wind in the trees, cultivating plants, and hanging out with their Mith friends, they have quite different personalities. Forestwake is reserved and thinks quietly to himself, not shying away from company but not seeking it out either. He often seeks out quiet, secluded spaces in the forest to just be with his thoughts for a while. His mate Nausicaä, on the other hand, is energetic and passionate, often seeking the company of friends and showing them her latest ecological discoveries. Despite often seeming to be a loner, what Forestwake loves most in the world are the still evenings spent with his mate listening to the sounds of the forest. He's never really told her this, of course. He simply basks in his peaceful joy. Nausicaä used to find it somewhat difficult to read him, since to most, he's about as expressive as a crest-less Fae. Over time, however, she's learned the subtle differences in his body language - how he holds his head, when he perks up his ears, the rhythm of his breath. She is perhaps the only person in Sornieth who can reliably crack this gentle giant's code. Unsurprisingly, he doesn't say much, but he's still not completely silent. He takes great pride in his family, mentoring his young like a steadfast Guardian until they leave to seek their own adventures. While his stoic nature hasn't always made it easy for his children to understand him, he finds his own quiet ways to tell them that he loves them. His son Sentaye, who still lives in the same clan, has begun to see and understand these gestures. Forestwake will often accompany him when he has to travel alone, and frequently leaves gifts of paper and ink at his lair for Sentaye to write down his stories. While his son uses words to convey meaning, Forestwake uses his actions. |
