She was pretty and she knew it. The mirror showed soft blush on her fair cheeks and a small coral pout which pulled upwards as she studied her face. Her nose was petite and her brows full, slanted ever so slightly to frame her face. Her vanilla curls which faded to pink at the tips shook slightly as she moved her head side to side and a flash of peach at her neck caught her eye, stark against the rich chocolate satin which draped across her shoulders, glittered with clear crystals. Very few of her siblings had natural blonde hair like their father and she took no shame in flaunting this in their faces.

Of course they were pretty too, as both her parents were stunning- but she was the best looking out of all of them. Accidently glimpsing a flash of ice, she turned her face away suddenly, feeling irritated. Her eyes were too sharp, too cold. She wished they were bright and likeable like her fathers or even soft embers like her mother’s but instead they seemed calculating and brash, unsettling people when she was doing her best attempt to get them to like her. Naturally, she countered this by wearing tinted shades whenever she could get away with it, or sweeping her hair over her face, disguising it as a move of confidence. Pushing the thought of her flaws out of her head, she smiled again, enjoying watching her face light up as the false expression radiated her beauty. One day she’d be even more beautiful than her mother, the most beautiful person she knew. One day she’d be flawless.
