Biography
Close friend, Kyamae Close friend, Therin |
The mysteries of dragons... of their natural born talent. Is it something tangible? Something that can be studied, harnessed, and recreated?
I must know. The pale imperial is no where to be seen; rather, only an opened journal, its pages flapping in the breeze, rests on a carved stone table. A wet quill and inkwell sit beside it. There are numerous entries in the journal, and as are follows; yet it is clear there is much yet to tell, and perhaps returning at a later date would reveal more information... -Mn1 I have recently arrived to this Clan, knowing well its hospitality to wanderers of all sorts, and thus, the amount of knowledge that flows. I will need many opinions, many voices, many studies in order to hope to discover that which I seek. As this is my starting day, I will be sure to record all progress, as science demands. I do not want my research to perish with me, whenever that may come. -Mb1 I have met a host of unusual dragons here, and although they are interesting in their own right, only a few have any inkling of what I desire to study. Out of respect for these individuals, I will not spread rumors about their existence, and keep my business to only those who already know. Idabotshi in particular seems to be the most worthy, with his creation of WC1B0—a stunning display of electrical and magical mastery. To transfer an entire consciousness into a construct! Incredible. Although, not perfect. But it is what he seeks—that perfectness, the pristine, the best and only of its kind... Aside from Idabotshi, Kyamae seems promising. Watching Nevermore and her warriors fight, I have questions for Victor and Therin, but I must be careful. -Mw1 I have been told the most extraordinary story—well, the hint of one, at least—from Kyamae. I think her life may have been touched by the presence of one such unique being, or of some extreme stroke of misfortune. As it is, Kyamae has lost her ability to fly. What kind of Skydancer can survive, forever grounded, unable to bask in the glorious winds of her Patron God, the Windsinger? She has persisted, though she admits it is only through an unwavering hope that she must believe—that she has to make herself relevant and helpful. How, then, has she lost her flight? Her wings are full, and to the casual observer, they seem to be a part of her. It is only with a keen eye that one can see that they are feeble; they tremor with every step, and sway whenever she turns. The fibers that so carefully are tied ‘round wings are there to keep them folded on her back and not dragging. To maintain the appearance of normalness, so that she may be approached as any other would. But what had happened to leave her in this state? Despite all she had told me, I still do not know the answer. I must take more time to get to know her better. |
