Death comes for all dragons, and so someone must be there to welcome the dead.

Thanatos knows hundreds of different burial rites, ranging from dragon Flight to breed to the various beastclans. From Fire's pyres to Earth's burials, Thanatos oversees the disposal of the dead. All must be treated with respect, as no matter who they were in life, they are now equal in death.

He lends his skills to the various Flights, specializing in those that have pledged themselves to their deity. Which Flight he resides in for the week changes depending on who the loser in the dominance battles is.

Thanatos also blesses the deceased, making sure they can never rise again, either as crypt wyrms, Emperors, wights, or something else. The dead must remain dead.
