Mariana

At the deepest tides of the Sea of a Thousand Currents, Floatsam Town is where Mariana resided through most of his social life.

Most residents of the place, whether friends or not, waved at Mariana's shifting body as he sped through the oceans, his blue goggles gleaming at them as he passed by.

In a moment of boredom of Floatsam, Mariana decided he wanted to travel.

He waved his companions goodbye, and dived into the water with enough food stashed in his satchel to keep him alive on his trip. He had no specific direction, he simply swam.

And when he emerged from the water, he was in the Southern Icefield, in Ice clan turf.

And he met nose-first with another Wildclaw.

The Wildclaw glimmered with white scales, wings stretched behind his thin back. He welcomed Mariana with happiness, pulling him out of the water. Mariana seemed to notice a Cerdae by the Wildclaw's side as if it was a friend, but no one made enemies their friends, right? Mariana thought so.

The Wildclaw dragged him along to a clan bustling with life, eyes glistening with different elements unlike anything Mariana had ever seen before. There were several creatures like the Wildclaw's cerdae. Mariana had never seen familiars before! No one in his Floatsam family owned one. He had seen some Hardshells at Floatsam, but they were mostly used as food transports, not necessarily familiars...Of course he'd heard rumors, but he thought they were fake. Well, not necessarily fake, he just never thought he'd do it himself.

Then suddenly, he had a Sandskink shoved into his side, its excited eyes staring at him, as if waiting for a command...He simply leaned forward, holding out his talons, and it jumped and nuzzled him with a cautious purr.

He was sure he could get used to this.
