Biography

RuneWaker, the Mage
Quote:
Whereas it is right or wrong, we do it anyway.
The sound of loud footsteps awoke Runewaker suddenly. He sat up slowly. In his small den, he could see shelves upon shelves of scrolls surrounding him. He sighed, feeling slightly annoyed for being awoken. He took a deep breath through his nose, then recoiled at the smell. The stench of decay wafted into his cave, and his eyes watered slightly. He walked out of his den and looked up into the face of a very large Imperial dragon. Or rather, three. He realized with a jolt that this was no normal Imperial. "Emperor!" He screamed. He heard other dragons screaming and yelling, and a alarm bell ringing madly. He slowly backed into his cave, never taking his eyes off the Emperor. The Emperor, now intrigued, tilted its heads curiously, and edged closer, trying to take in his scent. He stared at it, his luminous eyes glowing like a searchlight in the dark. He stole a glance off into the distance and saw a Ridgeback and a Guardian circling the Emperor. A sudden blast of stinking warm air made Runewaker stumble backwards. He heard a loud roar as the Emperor grew angry, not able to reach its prey. Its disgusting claws, probably riddled with diseases too numerous to count, reached inside his cave. Runewaker jumped back, but not fast enough. One of the claws punctured his shoulder. He cried out, clutching the wound. Blood soaked his fur, and his vision grew fuzzy for a moment. He fell back, and half dragged, half stumbled backwards. He bumped into the back wall of his den. His talons fell on a Light Rune. It glowed brightly as he picked it up, and felt warm in his claws. Thank the Lightweaver! He thought to himself. He held up the Light Rune and ran to the mouth of the cave. He roared his challenge and let the Light flare from the rune. The Emperor cringed away from the light, and Runewaker took his chance. He bolted out of the cave, flapping his wings to evade the death behind him.
