Azureclaw

A scion of the Flamecaller, Azureclaw found herself simply awake and wandering amidst the burning fields of the Ashfall. Compelled by either the Goddess or her compunction as a guardian, it was to Fireheart's lair that she eventually made her way.

The tundra magician was an unwelcoming host, and Azureclaw was beaten back from his territory by a ferocious assault of mystic power that overcame even here defenses. Yet, it was in this battle that the burning aura of the Flamecaller asserted itself, and Azureclaw beat back Fireheart's attack with a splendor and power all her own. The sheer ferocity of that reprisal cast her opponent low, decimating him with one fell strike. At once prostrating himself before her, the defeated drake saw in his victorious enemy a being unlike any he'd yet encountered, for though the Flamecaller's passions coursed through his heart and mind, here was a creature who's veins boiled with the blood of their mutual Goddess.

Standing victorious over the broken Fireheart, whispered words of promises sweetly satisfying played in echoing resonance through Azureclaw's mind. Among the limitless, dying embers of defeated foes, she saw herself standing side-by-side with her champion and suitor, sharing the glorious conquest of a world brought to ash and blazing eternally with dragon-fire.

So it was that Azureclaw, scion of the Flamecaller, came to be enthralled by her lover and master, the blood-charred mage, Fireheart.
