Anael

Anael is somewhat of a mystery, being a wanderer who moves easily from place to place - but she always eventually returns to Mgepog and the N'Glui Clan.

She was found as a lost child, skinny and alone near the edge of the water, her hide caked with rocks and stones and sand and mud until it was nearly impossible to tell that this was actually a dragon and not a mewling ball of mud. After being found by Marina and cleaned off somewhat, it was discovered that some of the rocks had managed to become lodged in her skin, impossible to remove without further damaging the tiny hatchling - so there they remained, and there they stay, even to this day. When she was discovered, there was also a small lump at the base of her neck that had skin peeling off around it - and while the clan's dragons originally believed it to be no more than a simple wound, it quickly became clear that this was not the case, as it grew and grew over the course of her growth.

Mgepog took her in, under his bleeding wing - and though she soon learned the tricks of the trade, of how to move swiftly across land and sky and breathe underwater whenever the nomadic clan returned to their lair in the depths of the Tidelord's realm, she always felt as if there was something she was missing, something she needed to find - a way to fix her broken and rotting body.

Over time, that yearning for something lost that must be found grew, and as her already-marred skin crackled and peeled off and mutated due to the disease which had lingered and only grown since her discovery and subsequent adoption as a mere hatchling, she set out, leaving the clan on the hunt for a cure, something that could help her - for she knew instinctively that this plague would eventually be the end of her.

She is still no more than a teenager, roaming the lands, searching for something she doesn't even know of - but is certain that she will find eventually.
