High in the cliffs on the coast of the reed cleft ascent, on frighteningly dark and terribly stormy nights, the Phayu Ræng dragons are found riding the winds and singing their songs.

Their lairs are found high in the coastal cliff faces of the reed cliffs, where the mighty roar of the waves crashing against the rock is a distant echo, and the winds hardly cease. Nesting grounds are located the tightly grown patches of bamboo that line the rocks. They hatch after major wind storms, listening to the creaking of the bamboo and the rings of the wind chimes, during the late evening to early morning.

In Phayu Ræng culture, a very strong passion is called a "Gale," and are the pride and joy of each individual. As their enthusiasm for their passion may "blow others away."
A dragon who has not found their Gale is usually encouraged by friends and family, and sometimes the whole clan pitches in to help them find it. Their Gale's are the driving force - the wind underneath their wings - in everything they do.

They do, however have a secret gale, what they call a "Wisp." A Wisp is something they prefer to do on their own, away from the eyes of others. Not so much a secret pleasure, more of a talent they wish to keep to themselves until they think they've perfected it. These Wisp's are only ever shared with the world on their coming of age ceremony and during their mating ceremony. There are few who never share theirs.

A Ridgeback Phāyu Ræng has all the patience in the world. They are commonly found in all three flight variants, being most common in Lightening territory.
Their Gale's usually carry them to become scholars and teachers. Some may find themselves in the fishing sport world, trying to reel in the big catch, or spending a relaxing day on the water, fishing contentedly.

FALCON HIDE

To wind dragons the Falcon Gene is seen as more of a curse - but paradoxically a noble one. Those that carry this gene are considered to be completely focused an a particular goal - to the exclusion of all else. Dragons that carry this gene are capable of great things, raising to new heights.... or burning out and crashing.

Phāyu Ræng dragon's with the striking markings of the Peregrine Gene are revered to be natural born aviators. They navigate the winds as if it were second nature, making flying look like hatchling's play. Many go on to become adventurers, explorers, wind current cartographers and find little issue with following - and excelling at - their passion.

CERULEAN STAINED

Cerulean Stained Phāyu Ræng are usually more mellow and relaxed. They will be more perceptive of other's feelings and are one of the best at reading auras of individuals. They have a zest for adventure, but may pick up a science if they so choose.
