Biography

Uh-oh, looks like this troublemaker wandered a little too far from his home lair (343694, Ciion), and now he's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, he'd really appreciate it if you could just return him/her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here. This is not necessary, but he would be very grateful!

Lairs he’s wreaked havoc at:

(the familiar he had during his stay that was key to his master plan)
“To make his travels more interesting, Adlaw decided to pull a prank at each and every lair he visited. The first prank he pulled was at the Tribe of the Endless Dusk. It was quite a spectacle, involving vengeful, mutated mushroom attacks and mass food poisoning, but it resulted in the smug young prankster being booted out of the tribe to find a new place to stay. It didn’t faze him, though, and he resolved that his next prank would be even better. He hoped that this one would be minuscule compared to his future misadventures and carefully-organized-disasters. All of Sornieth was his to ruin!” - duskflower

Adlaw continued his travels, pranking little groups of travelers and merchants as he went along. Most laughed with him - some he had to fly fast from. Pranking wasn't exactly a safe business, after all. His wings led him into the Southern Icefields after a while and he landed in the midst of a bustling market near the Frigid Floes. He wandered around, exploring the various stands of merchants from different clans.

He traded a few items, pranked a few dragons and that was how he met the small merchant group from clan Valhall. He was fleeing a furious Guardian when he was suddenly pulled aside and shoved into a pile of furs, catching him completely off guard. Adlaw remained completely silent as he heard muffled conversation outside the stack of furs, the thick hides making it difficult to hear anything.

After some moments, he was roughly pulled out from the furs and came face to face with an amused looking pearlcatcher. She was otherworldly in her looks and offered him a place to sleep for the night, a knowing glint in her glowing eyes.

He accepted, albeit a little reluctantly, but as soon as they started talking he relaxed. He learned that he had the pleasure of speaking to Urd, Soothsayer and Arcane Ambassador for her clan. They enjoyed their night of casual chatter, swapping stories and tales.

Before he left the next day, she smiled slyly and told him to keep an eye out for a red mirror. She refused to tell him why, but said the red mirror would be important to him. And with those mysterious words lingering in his head, he took to the skies again.

Adlaw ended up back in his home territory, spinning around in the wind, but not back in his clan. No, this was a new clan of the Singing Winds, lead by a small fae named Tressa and her fluffy mate Gimmeth. He didn't stay long, considering he immediately set about trying to prank the clan members. He only got off a couple of smoke bombs and tree traps before Darth, the clan protector, drove him off.

Adlaw noted with a twinge of curiosity that Darth had red wings. The pearlcatcher's worlds rang through his head as he sped past and away from Darth before the irate mirror could smack him around. Maybe the nest clan to chase him out with have the red mirror.

Adlaw found himself in the shadow domain, wandering the Tangled Woods for several days. There he encountered a strange dragon by the name of Murk who seemed to have been talking to some wisps before realising he was being watched and broke out into a sly grin.

He explained that he had heard of Adlaw and that he would like to... Collaborate... On a little prank with him back at his own clan. The clan were very welcoming to Adlaw but of course, as was his way, he soon began thinking of as many pranks to pull as possible.

Murk had a reputation amongst the clan for his 'pranks' and, determined not to be outdone, he set about creating his own traps and snares littering the area. So did Murk. The pranking quickly got out of hand, the two pranksters declaring all out war against each other with the clan caught in the crossfire and the area in chaos.

In his opinion, Adlaw definitely won.

He should... Probably go. There are a lot of dragons that suddenly don't seem so welcoming anymore.

There was a red-winged mirror here too, but still not the one the pearlcatcher had spoken of.

Maybe next time.

It seemed that Adlaw simply couldn't keep himself from the windswept plateau, for here he had found himself again. On different terms, of course, but back to his homeland nevertheless. It wasn't often that two tricksters cross paths, but here they did, both wayward travelers out to wreak havoc upon the unsuspecting.

Ratarix hadn't been hard to get along with- quite the opposite, in fact. The two had hit it off almost too easily, and found themselves pranking unsuspecting travelers. That's when they met Mailuu, a guardian of... interesting color. They had caught her in a snare by her foot, but of course the guardian was much too large to be affected. She did, however, have quite the laugh at the realization that the two of them thought they might be able to pull something that silly off.

But then she wanted in on the action. The prank was hatched by Adlaw and Ratarix, with Mailuu figuring out the specifics on how to do it to her clan in particular. And it wouldn't be hard. The grease they smeared on the floor of the lair while the rest of the clan slept was an easy enough prank, and they definitely enjoyed watching the dragons slip and slide into each other as they tried to find the culprits.

They split ways after that, leaving Mailuu to clean up the mess and hoping to meet again someday.
