Amadea had a fairly normal hatchling-hood until she forgot her lunch one day and decided to eat a glowing fruit instead. Yeah, not her best idea. She's trying to forget about it.

Ever since then, she started glowing with luminescence. Her village-mates were pretty panicked by the fact that the young dragon was glowing all of a sudden, but after further investigation, it's pretty much harmless. But as a dragon who had trouble sleeping before, it became even harder for her to get any rest, making her accidentally fall asleep while doing various things, like foraging for food or even while talking to other dragons. She's mortified whenever this happens, but others seem to find it quite funny. She's a loud snorer.

Her brightness (literally and personality-wise) attracted many fireflies around her. She's made good friends with many of them, especially one she doting named Cirro. She loves taking care of animals and other dragons and would frequently whip up something for them to eat.

She found that her brightness usually depended on her mood. It would dim whenever she was very tired or gloomy and would shine brighter with excitement, happiness, or surprise. Her optimistic nature makes it very easy for her to glow brightly.

After many years of insomnia, Amadea became accustomed to the tiredness. One day, however, a small blue dragon visited her village with a bag full of scrap parts and an inquisitive mind. He took one look at Amadea (well, maybe a squint instead) and vowed to make something to cure her insomnia before he left. That was nice and all, even though she never told him about her sleepiness yet.

That dragon stayed for years, testing and inventing new things to help the villagers. They were very grateful, but his workshop was quite noisy all the time. Luckily, Amadea didn't find it too disturbing since she was awake most of the time anyway. She would frequently stop by with the intent to drop off food and leave, but would find herself staying around to help the inventor with tinkering.

You can usually find her out in the woods at dark, either talking to her fireflies or foraging for herbs with the help of her luminescence.

Her mate is Archimedes.
