Originating from the Tsunami Flats, these sand-colored dragons are the guardians of the shoreline surrounding the Sea of a Thousand Currents. They monitor for any hapless sea creatures that might wash ashore and need to be helped back into the water, as well. To better suit life on land, these dragons have thicker skin and hides to prevent loss of water and a more complex lung structure than their aquatic brethren. While many of these Beach dragons have retained their gill structures, their ability to breathe easily underwater has been compromised through continued evolution; they now find long-distance swimming to be wearisome.

Beach dragons often build grand homes on dry land. From great sand-colored, woven tents (to blend in with the dunes), to castles made of coquina shells, to driftwood resorts, every effort is made to create a comfortable and defensible home. When they are not building homes or protecting the shores, these dragons are often out combing the beach for items to be salvaged, repaired, and added to their treasure stores.
