B I O G R A P H Y

The clan Seer, Palmello, took Sioned in when she as very young. Palmello raised her and helped her find her way through a difficult childhood. Sioned didn't really look like a lot of the other dragons in her clan with her patterning and color combination, and although she seemed shy and standoffish, the clan soon learned that she was simply mute.
Sioned is most comfortable when she is allowed to fade into the background when she moves around the lair. At first, communication was so difficult and frustrating that she just found it easier to keep her cowl up and be passed over. She is most comfortable communicating with other Skydancers through their empathetic magic, but was very frustrated as a youngster by the limitations. The best portion of her life was when she was a dragon slightly younger than her taught her how to write. That youngster would grow up to be Snowmelt the archivist, and the two have maintained a close friendship. Once she was able to utilize her paper and charcoal stick to communicate the clan soon became familiar with her intelligence and humor.
Though she strived to be like her mentor Palmello it was apparent that Sioned was not a Seer. She tried her claw as a fighter, but that ended with a scarred leg and a fear of traveling too far into the wilds. Being curious by nature she soon asked Pemma where her papers came from and was taken to meet the paper makers of Wind Flight. She was interested in the process and apprenticed with them. It was apparent from day one that she had the skill and focus of an artisan and not a fighter.
As she trained she grew increasingly excited by the process of dying papers and seeing them crafted into lanterns, kites, toys, and other products. Soon, she was crafting her own kites in the shapes of birds, flowers, insects, and other dragons. Many of the senior craftsdragons were marveled by her dexterity, patience, and natural eye detail and quickly took her under their wings to teach her as much as they could. She was coached in the creation of dyes and the materials they came from. She studied the process diligently and was soon traveling the lands of Sornieth to seek new dye materials, colors, and recipes to share and fill her home with color and creativity.
She has a good sense of humor, is delighted by color, and enjoys sketching, patterning, listening to and telling (writing) stories, and playing the lyre.
While is still distant with some of her newer clanmates, and she likes Brakkas very much. However, between his spotty memory as a Tundra and her own limitations, they aren't often able to get very far. She usually spends time with Farilain, the clan decorator, and Madarino, who is something of a druid. They often travel together to gather materials for dyes as well as flowers and other supplies.
