Biography
Kelpwash didn't often visit the Marketplace anymore, but this time he did, approaching every Fire-eyed dragon that looked reasonably intelligent (and non-hostile). He asked, he got turned down, he fluttered until he found the next candidate.
Sulfur watched this oddity until he arrived at her perch near a smith's stall. 'Hello my name is Kelpwash I come from a deepsea clan and we're seeking--'
She cut him off with a flare of her frills and a surprisingly emotive laugh. 'Don't bother with the script. What's your hurry?'
Kelp stopped, blinked rapidly, eyed her. 'My clan needs a Fire dragon to bring us warmth,' he said in a tired voice. 'We live in the blackness of the sea beneath the sea.'
Sulfur twitched her frills, a grin spreading across her short snout. 'I've always wanted to work with underwater thermals,' she said, relishing the idea as she opened her wings. 'Lead on, boss!'
He was too surprised to negotiate, so he led the Fire-born Fae into the depths of the sea. Once he wrapped her securely in magic that would let her survive the pressure and breathe the brine, she was quite comfortable in invading various lair niches and knocking on the cold stone walls. 'Well, that's your problem right there,' she laughed to Kelp. 'You've got no vents. Give me tools and a couple helpers, and I'll fix you right up.'
So she did.
