━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━
Icewarden Ice Sculpture Everything about this was wrong. Was it meant to be wrong? Did anyone else feel the same? No, of course not. Nobody seemed to feel anything here. They were all the same.

Like, literally, the same. This was a cloning facility. Whittaker figured that out pretty early on in his time here. He didn't know why he knew this, maybe some memories were passed along down to him during the cloning process that made him. Though when you say it out loud like that, it sounds pretty friggin' stupid.
What he did know was that he was different. He was different because he could actually think, he could feel. And that, in their books, meant defected. And if you were a defect then sayonara, sucker.

A lot of the time, Whittaker wished he was a vegetable like the rest of them. At least then he wouldn't be consistently plagued with thoughts like how the sun would feel on his bare skin, whether or not snow was as crunchy as it looked or what it would be like to be free.
He would often shake the ideas out of his head before too long, "Stop being friggin' dumb, headass. It's never gonna happen."

And yet, he kept allowing himself to think this way. Longing for an escape. It let his guard down. It let him slip up. It let him scream and fight as they placed a device on his head, and it let him cling onto memories as they were wiped from his brain, despite it being hopeless.

  Notes
_
» The name 'Whittaker' means "White Field".
» There's a possibility for him to get his memories back, as the process merely brainwashed him, his memories are still in tact.
» Whittaker was cloned to be used as a war weapon, however due to his different nature, even while brainwashed, he would never harm another living being.
» He is heavily inspired by the Episode Prompto DLC of Final Fantasy XV.
