Io

Ever since Io was found under Oado's cart one night after he came back from one of his treks, Io became part of the small Mirage clan. When she was found, she had no memory of her origins. She had nearly no memory at all, with her only knowledge being her name, and, quite oddly, extreme knowledge of the night sky. Due to this knowledge causing her to stay up and watch the stars instead of sleep, and one unfortunate event involving her dark scales attracting too much heat in the heavy desert sun, she was put on the night watch as soon as possible; shadowing guards while a hatching and then joining as she grew old enough. The night watch guards are nocturnal by choice and are very close with the few others that are up with the moon. Io, although she loves her job, is constantly finding herself bored while on watch. Most dragons are sleeping at night, and the oasis is hard to find unless you know exactly where it is, so there are few, if any, visitors that come at night. To pass the time, Io watches the sky, unlike the other guards who typically play games together. She always says the stars are more interesting when asked why she doesn't join in.
