Biography

-

Igne natura renovatur integra.
Through fire, nature is reborn whole.

Her life began in a ball of fire, warmed and hatched in the family hearth. The tinder of cinnamon twigs burned by the breath of the dragons who gave her life fueled the spark. It was a family tradition, it signified the creation of life from death, like a phoenix rising from the ashes. The family before her stoked the flames with love and out burst a flame as fiery as the forges itself.

Summer's life was a sweet one. A childhood filled with love and laughter until eruptive powers manifested among the family. Fire leveled the forests around them and such a powerful wildfire lit the homes a flame. Summer's powers was no laughing matter, but the fire that started the destruction was utter madness. She hailed from a line of dragons who were descendants of the Flame Mother so no one got hurt, but it was dangerous to stay and the other dragons rioted against the family.

If this story of destruction sparked from Summer, she would have been trialed and put to death or exiled. Yet she is not the protagonist of this tale. Her sister was. Her powers over fire was second to none, yet all she desired was to see what the fire could consume, not create. It was clear that she was focused on razing the world and wasn't able to open her eyes to the true scope of her power. Her sister was deemed a menace to society and was abandoned by the clan, whereas Summer traveled with her family to find a new place to call home.

It was in those moments where Summer realized that there were more facets to the world. There is no good against evil, black and white all blur into greys, and life chases death as it is connected in a cycle. When something burns, a seed will replace the fallen plant and a new one grows in its place. That is how the world works. If it is devoured by fire, nature will rise from the ashes and replenish itself.
