"Those eggs are ********. You will dispose of them immediately, Alayna." The pale Bogsneak dipped her head in shame to her King, swallowing hard and pawing at the two eggs in front of her, glowing faintly in the moon light. Her silence was unappreciated, and the crack of a black paw crushing down on one of the eggs snapped her to attention. A single cry left the pink dragon and her tear filled eyes looked in fear to the King, haunches trembling as she backed up from him. Tefur narrowed his eyes at the caretaker, lifting his paw and shaking off the viscera from the crushed egg off his paw. Scared pink eyes looked away from her king, and the pink dragon scooped the remaining two eggs to herself.

"I-I swear I'll dispose of them properly, King T-tefur,"

He was cold, and it was dark. The hatchling pushed against his shell and cried out, working to break it and find his mom. He broke free and tumbled out, purple eyes closed as he cried shrilly for attention, warmth, food. No one answered, and his cries grew sharper and louder. Minutes turned to hours and the tiny hatchling found himself shuddering in the night chill, cries growing painful as his stomach twisted. Eventually warmth pressed against his face, and the baby opened his eyes to look up at the dragon cupping his face.

"Oh dear me, you're oh so loud aren't you? That wont do at all, little one."
