R O Y D E N THE MECHANIC WARRIOR

Once a proud creation from the highest ranks of the Storm itself, she has fallen from grace long ago, the finely tuned gears of such mighty machinery now decaying and joints now exposed to the elements and rusting away. In what she has now understood to have been a pointless search for glory, Royden strayed from her ranks in a now forgotten war, pushed herself too hard, her pride prevailing over her thoughts, always striving to be the best, to be the hero that was needed and the warrior that was praised by all. It was this same pride and feeling immortal that became her downfall, a battle too big for her that she charged into with far too little thought. Despite the fight she put up, her enemies bested her, the mechanic warrior seemingly killed, as far as anyone else was aware. No one ever found out that the robot was merely inactive after such damage, unable to wake on her own, the triumphant clan studying such fine machinery in an attempt to recreate it, to master it and use it to fuel its own ambitions. It is unclear how far their progress went, or what exactly was the reason of this clan disappearing, most likely simply wiped from history in that same war Royden had taken part it— what is known is the discoveries Keebs the inventor had made in their excursions that led to uncovering the ruins of a long lost lab and the machinery within. Royden was allowed a second opportunity in life. She seems to have learned from her mistakes, despite her core memory being partially damage and lost to time and wear. She has certainly been humbled by her circumstances, her old pride and arrogance much more tolerable than it must have been decades ago before her premature deactivation, a much tamer version of them only resurfacing in mostly pointless gambles and challenges. She now prefers to keep to Keebs' laboratory alongside the result of her inner workings and machinery, occasionally helping around their home, although she prefers to keep guard and ward off any unwanted visitor over tidying up. Keebs doesn't particularly mind this choice with what little they know of her and her past— any help is still very much appreciated.
