Khione was only visiting her uncle, having just begun her Search, when she overheard a very interesting meeting between several older dragons.

She found her Charge younger than she should have been, considering the danger involved in simply being around them.

Khione doesn’t have a head for navigation. Alethia usually shows her around - she is the only other one that seems.. okay around here, after all. Khione is more suited to the water nearer to the surface. She gets cold, and lonely, and misses the night sky when she is away too long. She doesn’t understand how Alethia doesn’t seem to mind all that. “I was born here,” she always laughs, “I didn’t even know I was a dragon until Shoal found me! I didn’t have any of that to miss!”

Alethia is kind enough to escort Khione down through the water to where her charge rests, dormant. They have an odd kind of friendship, one that Khione clings to.
