Rubio is far from a kind drake. Born of a "pure" line of Skydancers, he thinks them superior to all other breeds, and makes it known. From the false royal line, Rubio took his own path to become a true ruler by any means possible. He's crafty, he's deceitful, and he's charismatic. He knows how to work people and if it doesn't go his way, he's quick and crafty, not afraid to spill some blood on his feathers and knows his way around the shadows and weapons.

Coming upon the hidden clan of dragons led by the too trusting and all welcoming Griffon, Rubio saw his chance. Griffon accepted him in with open wings, but it wasn't long before the crafty rogue worked out his plan to take down Griffon and take the clan for himself. A start of a proper kingdom, and a chance to continue a truly pure line of Skydancers.

When the time came, Griffon didn't put up much a fight. with his life being threatened he opted to step down. In his older age, he was already planning on moving on to become a story teller and let one of his own children take over. Needless to say Rubio was surprised with the easy takeover. There was no argument. No bloodshed. All it took was a threat and a knife to his throat to get him to step down.

Having taken a partner of his own that he saw as pure, Precious serves him claw and tail. Already he's waiting for a proper hatchling from her to take under his wing as the next in line. Only the best of his children can make it through, and he isn't afraid to leave the unworthy hatchlings out in the boneyard to fend for themselves. He cares little about their fate and what might happen to him. Their lives mean nothing to him. They aren't worthy of staying in this clan. They can contribute nothing to him, his perfect line, or his perfect kingdom.
