S T O R Y No one is quite sure where Ulzrosdi came from. His name is of both legend and mystery. Some say that he was born when the 12th eclipse swallowed the sun. Others believe he is the darkness casted out from The Great Shadow. Perhaps, there is truth to all the tales surrounding his name, but whatever brought Ulzrosdi into this world birth a savage leader that none were prepared for. He is the acended Archon of the Collapsed Shadow. Many moons after 12th eclipse was when Ulzrosdi took to the skies. His strong wings driving him forward deeper and deeper into Sornieth. His body blended into the blackened skies, only a slight red tint from his blood red color could barely be detected. His piercing red eyes glowed brightly as he neared The Scarred Wasteland, seafoam green runes scarred the land below. This was it, this was where he would ascend. Ulzrosdi tucked his wings in tightly to his body and dove towards the ground. Like a blood meteor falling from the sky, Ulzrosdi hit the ground with a thunderous force. Dust rose into the sky and the earth trembled for a few moments before everything settling. Ulzrosdi's piercing red eyes glowed brightly as he breathed in and scanned the horizon. He had traveled for millennia searching throughout the lands for The It, and this was the closest he had come to finding him. He had trained all his life for this moment. Ulzrosdi blood red body was cover by thick keloidal scars. Massive wings were torn and tattered, but his battle wounds did not weaken his form. This was the great battle he dreamed of. Seafoam green runes were fresh, hot to the touch. They laid out what seemed to be a path, Ulzrosdi's path to ascension. Ulzrosdi's eyes narrowed, honing in on a lair carved out in the wandering contagion. Seafoam green runes scarred the entrance creating a magic barrier keeping all out. "Come meet your end" Ulzrosdi growled and he lurched forward. Ulzrosdi's massive claws began to glow an angry red color. His mighty swipes made quick work of the magical barrier created. Ulzrosdi entered into the lair, slinking deeper and deeper, hunting his prey. On his decent he passed the bones of other dragons. Some were challengers, seeking their ascension, some were unfortunate souls sacrificed to improve The It's strength. The air grew thicker, heavier with the taste of magic, power and death. Ulzrosdi slowed down as he reached the back of the lair. As he turned the last corner, his prey game into view. The It was distracted. He had captured a pair of siblings. A female guardian and a male Imperial were bound with seafoam green magical runes. No doubt they were next to be sacrificed, The It fed anything he could catch. The It was torturing the pair slowly asphyxiating them, enjoying the pain he was causing. It seems that the female was close to death as The It moved in to finish her off. This was Ulzrosdi's chance. All his training has lead to this moment. Ulzrosdi lunged forward, springing from the shadows. The It was caught off guard turning around only to be met by glowing red claws that dove deep into the flesh of The It. The It screamed out in pain, and his body glowed a bright seafoam green color. As Ulzrosdi's claws shredded downwards, The It released a pulse of energy that sent Ulzrosdi and the pair of siblings flying back. All three dragons slammed into the lair walls. The siblings passed out, but Ulzrosdi quickly got to his feet. His eyes started glowing and he melted into the shadows, disappearing. The It looked around franticly, his eyes glowing a seafoam green, he screamed out in pain. The wounds that Ulzrosdi left glowing red with a powerful infection. The It unleashed blast of energy, shooting at the dark around him. Energy missiles went flying, striking Ulzrosdi in the right shoulder and back. Ulzrosdi winced at the pain staggering for a moment. Ulzrosdi blinked forward, his jaws latching onto the arm of The It a magic venom began to spread through The It’s body and Ulzrosdi tightened his grip. The light around The It began to glow brighter and a huge shock wave sent Ulzrosdi fly into a bed of sharp stalagmites. They pieces his body and he groaned with pain. The It charged up and released a barrage of orbs in all directions. They hit all three dragons, ripping away flesh. Ulzrosdi staggered to his feet, this battle was not to end this way. One final blast struck Ulzrosdi in the head, sending him to the ground. He barely could lift his head to peer over at the female guardian she had been struck badly. Her life force began to fade and the essence of her power started materializing. The It stopped his assault, craving the power. He breathed in deeply and it began floating towards him, another life to strengthen his! Ulzrosdi knew with the strength of these dragons revitalizing The It, that the odds were not in his favor. Ulzrosdi's eyes started to glow, and he leaped forward, intercepting the stream of essence. The wounds on his body turning into black holes, redirecting the female guardian's life force into him, Misaki was her name. She was a powerful dragon, trained in the ways of the Light, possessing everything Ulzrosdi was not. She had weakened The It greatly before Ulzrosdi got there, and now together they would finish him. Ulzrosdi's wounds began to glow with the brightest and purest of light. Ulzrosdi opened his mouth and a massive light orb materialized. Laced with a powerful venom, Ulzrosdi began shooting the light orbs forward, striking The It every time. In seconds The It was no more. His sea foam green essence, power and strong manifested, glowing brighter and brighter, filling the cave with light. The light welded together Ulzrosdi's wounds, sea foam green stones plugging the holes in his body. Ulzrosdi floated into the air, eyes glowing a sea foam green. An immense power unlike anything he had ever experienced coursed through his body. He had finally done it, he had finally ascended. |
