It happened when the Gladekeeper and the Plaguebringer were locked in a heated battle over who should shape what the world as we know it was going to look like. As they tumbled over and over in their squabble, drops of both the Plaguebringer and the Gladekeeper's blood rained over the earth. Where the Plagebringer's blood fell, unihabitable deserts and rotting land formed, and where the Gladekeeper's blood fell sprouted incredibly tall Forests and Jungles. The Plaguebringer started to lose the battle with her sister, and before all was lost, the Plaguebringer spilled her own blood onto the earth, whispering gently as it soaked into the ground. The blood lept to life as it hit the earth, gathering in a solid form and taking on the shape of a young wildclaw. Even if the plaguebringer could not have this earth, she could at least cause trouble in her defeat. Every step this creature took was a section of earth which died beneath her feet. Every breath the female wildclaw took was riddled with disease. And the Plaguebringer's creation took on a name, Ebola. One of the smaller blood drops became Ebola's plague sprite.

Ebola traveled the land for a long time, a slave of the Plaguebringer's influence. She traveled across all territories, death and contagion followed where she lead. As she started to travel, unintended consequences of her creation started piling up. As the Plaguebringer was not meant to create life, mistakes were made, and Ebola started to gain feelings. With each contagion she brought to the earth, with every life she extinguished, she felt acidic tears coming from her eyes. But she had no choice, and she couldn't stop moving, for she was a creature without free will.

This all changed when she came upon Draconequis clan and met Marburg. She was unable to stop, aiming on destroying the entire clan with her foul breath and corrosive body. But Marburg saw her crying, saw her pain, and stepped into her path. He refused to let her pass, barring her with his own body. Being a plague warrior, Marburg resisted the waves of disease which echoed off Ebola's body. Instead, he called Phlogiston to her side. Phlogiston lay a hand on Ebola, and did not die instantly as other dragons normally did. Instead, Ebola felt a burning sensation deep within herself and she was no longer a slave of the disease inside her. She could control herself. It was at this that she cried, her acidic tears fell to the earth and created death around her, but she didnt care. She was free.. and she could finally stop. However, Phlogiston warned the effects were not permanent, as she was a being created of unnatural circumstances. He would have to continue her treatment day by day, making himself weaker each time by gaining stone as he healed her mind.

Ebola was greatful, so she remained in Draconequis clan, the only place she could go where she would not destroy the world. However, her breath and body still remains full of toxins so she wears a mask, wraps and a satin tunic to keep herself from infecting the entire world. She is always the last to eat the kill other dragons have brought to the clan because she on contact, the food becomes filled with plague and rotted. Only she is able to consume the food after she touches it, because even her insides are made of plague. She is trying to learn how to not kill every creature she touches, with very limited success. Fortunately, her clutches escape her same fate, living lives which are normal for a dragon.

Ebola became soulbound with Marburg not too long after she joined Draconequis clan. This pure ritual jolted her body, and allowed her more control over the plague raging within her. She was now able to touch Marburg for a limited time without killing him. Marburg is the only one she can touch, however and she keeps her distance from all other dragons in the clan.

Despite her outward appearance, Ebola is actually a very shy and easy spooked dragon. She doesnt really know how to speak to other dragons. However, she seems to be able to speak to Marburg just fine.

With the downfall of Lilith, Ebola is once again free to be herself.
