Life wasn't very good to Xanthus in his early days, waking up in the Sea of a Thousand Currents almost dead was only the point where he stopped caring. Thankfully for him, Peach brought him into her underwater cave and helped patch him up. He was very rude when he was younger and definitely more hot-headed, leaving his body riddled was countless scars.

The oldest Familiar that Xanthus has become good friends with, they are practically inseparable from each other. Living with dragons since he was born, Mathias has gained the ability to read and speak some dragon. He lives very comfortably in the small library of tomes that Xanthus has created in the leaders underwater cave. 		Candycane Xolo

Peach wanted to have matching Familiars, which is why as a present, Xanthus bought both Apricot and Xander from the Marketplace. She plays with all his notes and books, misplacing them or getting rid of them all together. Although he won't say it out loud, he really does love his Xolo.
