Wing Listen. A Nocturne is wonderful for a vampire theme on account of the whole bat thing, and it'd be fine to keep him as is! But M-Pose Tundras just... have that LOOK, you know? Luxurious coats, those lovely manes... and a coy, knowing expression. That was definitely the deciding factor for me. He LOOKS like he's the lord of the manor, or maybe like he has a secret.

Primary Gene Leopard adds some nice depth with a color gradient via dark points on the snoot and legs, which gives the coat some visual interest without being overbearing. Plus, the spots look reminiscent of blood cells, I think! It's not too on-the-nose, but it certainly works with his themeing.

Secondary Gene There's a couple different secondaries I was eyeballing for this dragon, but Bee looks rather like the stained glass you'd find in those gothic castles where vampires roost. In addition, it adds a bit of a red tinge to the tips, and some sparkle that reminds the viewer of a night sky. Plus, it adds a little gray to his mane, making him look like a distinguished fellow. It hints at the immortality of vampires without making him look too old or too young. It's juuuuuust right!

Tertiary Gene I wound up keeping his tert as-is after playing around with it a bit. Most of the terts are either too much detail, or far too little. I enjoy the Glimmer because of that pop of white on his horns- rather like bone, adding to the Undead vibe he's got going on. (Also, seems a shame to gene over a gem gene when it works perfectly fine.) That said, you could totally do Ghost if you wanted something less subtle in theme. It absolutely works, and it's up to personal taste which one you choose, I think! I'd choose Glimmer if you want to go full ham with the outfit (might I suggest the Sinister series??), and Ghost if you want to keep him nakey or go with a more subtle outfit.

Special Eyes I kept his eyes as-is, but you could also go Dark Sclera if you wanted? They're just a liiiiiiittle bit more intense, but there's not terribly much difference, so I'm not sure if the cost could be justified. Still, worth thinkin' about!

Vlad is a darling dragon who could take on a wide theme, but I mean, why not go full vampire if you went to the trouble of naming him Vlad? : o He TOTALLY rocks it.
