Biography

THE WARRIOR SCHOLAR

Mate: Samandriel

Orientation: Heterosexual

Joyeuse, called Joy by most, is an Imperial with no time for folly. Joy is hellbent on finding a cure for both her own illness and a Mirror dragon named Phytophthora (Potato), and is rarely seen doing anything else. If she isn’t researching ancient texts she’s searching for them out in the field. Usually only the guardian twins Cedric and Cecil can get her to take a break, or Sam.

Joy isn’t the most companionable of dragons, but she managed to find a loving partner in the much older Imperial, Samandriel. She respects him for his maturity, wisdom, and level headedness on the battlefield. She never would’ve expected him to love someone as young and rash as she, but they’ve remained mates even through clan separation and have many wonderful children.

Joy is still young but fears she may be one of the short lived Imperials as her disease is progressing quickly. The gems growing along her body are beginning to hinder her movements and flight, so she spends most of her days and nights holed up in her cave, pouring over any texts she can get her talons on. The sickness may be taking its course, but it hasn’t stopped her from being the fiercest warrior in the clan.
