  Emblem was the youngest of many siblings, and his clan's lands perhaps a bit overcrowded when he was born. And so, when he grew old enough, he left his birthplace in the Viridian Labyrinth, seeking another home with a little more room to breathe. Wandering south, he happened upon a curious hole in a hillside on the sundrenched plains east of the Sunbeam Ruins - when he investigated, he found the collapsed entrance to some kind of building under the hill, room after room of treasures and grave goods, decorated with statues and frescoes of dragons and beastfolk all along the walls. It seemed a comfortable enough home to a formerly swamp-dwelling dirt boy, so he quickly made himself at home there, and seemingly never minded (or maybe never noticed) that his chill new hang was full of corpses.

Emblem is not too bright, but very kind - he's fond of creatures smaller than himself, and is extremely gentle with them. He's very easy to please: he likes to wallow in dirt, he likes cool dark places, he likes cultivating mushrooms, and he likes mammertee plushies, which he collects. They're soft and round and good to curl up on when you have a big enough pile of them.
