Comet was bestowed the gift of clair-
voyance and precognition from a hatchling, and claims herself to be a prophet of the Arcanist, as is her partner, Archimedes. Together, they prophesy all possible outcomes of the future and how the clan’s current actions can shape it. Although, their “future sight” is actually quite limited: What Comet and Archimedes see is not entirely set in stone, it can always be altered if the clan chooses to do so. |
Comet and her partner abstain from taking part in many activities that other dragons often enjoy. At first some of the clan members questioned the couple’s consumption of tobacco, but Comet’s answer to that its inhalation was for religious purposes — which, in truth, it is. However, the Seekers are not too knowledgeable of what the exact religion Comet and Archimedes follow, though it’s clear that it revolves solely around praising the Arcane God and following his beliefs and teachings.

While Comet and Archimedes are married, it is not in a traditional sense. The two dragons are bonded on a spiritual level, and will never have children of their own as they practice are celibate lifestyle, in accordance with their religious vows. The two of them are also “married” to their god and are wholly devoted to the Arcanist and share their unconditional love for each other with him.

Comet showed up in the Seeker’s territory along with her partner Archimedes one day. No one knew where they came from, though both dragons claimed to have traveled from the furthest reaches of the Focal Point, possible even from The Observatory itself, though Comet has yet to actually confirm this. The lithe Guardian also explained that it was the Arcanist himself who told her and Archimedes to find Clan Seeker and assist them in any way they could.
Many of the clan dragons, as skeptical of mysterious outsiders as ever, even if they were fellow Arcane-aligned dragons, refused to believe that their Deity physically spoke to Comet and Archimedes and gave them these orders; from what the Seekers’ had been taught and strongly believed, the Arcanist was holed up in the Observatory, forever recording the happenings of the vast cosmos that stretched far above Sornieth — he didn’t just speak to random, non-exalted Guardian and Snapper dragons and tell them to find Arcane clans to assist. And even if he did, there’d be no way that the exalted would ever leave his realm. Comet was undeterred by the Seekers’ skepticism, but was relieved that the clan’s Progenitor allowed them to stay with the Seekers.
