Ahtu

One of the Shadowbinder's own, Ahtu was formed from primordial darkness by his deity, to provide a fresh bloodline and enrich her Flight. Having no parent but her, it was in her great nest he was nurtured, under her wing that he slept as a hatchling, and under her watchful eye that he learned the skills he would need to survive. Once he was ready, she sent him out into the world to found his own clan. He and the one who joined him in this endeavour were yet spectres of shadow, only slipping from the skin of darkness they'd worn their whole lives when they took the names they would bear among the dragons born of other dragons, and chose for themselves what hues they would bear, and which of them would bear eggs.

He and his fellow founder, Shubniggurath, shared a vision of what their new clan ought to be, and began to plot and plan how to achieve their goals. However, each intended to follow a different path to attain those goals. Ahtu favoured stealth and savagery-by-night to build their clan's strength, and determined that he would found a bloodline dedicated to these virtues. To this end, he has been on the lookout for any likely-looking dragons to recruit, at least at first.

Ahtu is a sly creature, with a wry sense of humour, and a fondness for schemes and stories. He may be charmed with riddling talk or tales of his maker, dark tales with a grim bent - had he existed in the world of humankind, he would have been an Addams. His ego, however, is somewhat larger than is wise, and though he keeps it quiescent when he can, he has a temper to match.
