Everyone has something that they absolutely cannot live without. For Terk, his something is that he is completely obsessed with gemstones. Any type, it doesn’t matter. From the cheapest of the quartz to the most precious, rare stones, the obelisk wants them all.

To this end, Terk has managed to get himself stuck in crevices, caves, shipwrecks, or whatever else might be the hiding place of something shiny. No matter how many scrapes he gets into, though, he refuses to give up his pursuit of elusive stones.

Terk is one of the few dragons in the lair to actually have a hoard of stuff. The cave belonging to the devoted dragon is a wonder. He will carve perfect alcoves for each of his individual stones; when you walk in, you’re reminded of a honeycomb filled with sparkling treasures. Because he likes the way living flame causes dancing rainbows to come from his precious collection, there are always candles burning.

And while Terk loves his fellow clan members, and enjoys bringing them something nice, the dragon objects strenuously when any of the others want to change his gems for use in machines or jewelry. To him, the natural state is exactly the way they should always be.
