Biography
Dangers lurk in the shadows of the trees in the Viridian Labyrinth, hatchlings of other flights are told to stay away unless they have a native to guide them. But nobody really knows the extent of just how dangerous it can be. Reports have come back telling of a shadow that moves on its own, of clinking armor and jingling bells with no apparent source.
But Cethin isn't a dangerous dragon. Far from it, actually. He's a gentle soul who hasn't been out of his home flight. The real danger is his familar. The clinking armor and jingling of bells is a warning to turn back so they don't run into the small Blight Nymph, or else they risk the possibility of becoming infected by the diseased plant life surrounding the small creature at all times.
Beware of the dangers of the forests, travelers, for you might be the next victim.
The large Imperial sighed as he listened to the sounds of the Viridian Labyrinth in the dead of night. For him they were faint, for nothing ventured into the clearing surrounding him and his familiar. The joys of living with something that liked infecting the plant life around them with poisons and diseases. The creature left some untouched, so the Imperial could eat, but certainly not enough for anything else to want to live around the dragon.
Why did he choose a Blight Nymph for his companion anyway? He remembered saying he wanted a challenge, but to this extreme? He had to leave home because of the illnesses it was causing! Sometimes he let his mind wander to thoughts of abandoning or even killing the thing, though he couldn't ever put heart into the action. Despite his unpleasant isolation, he cared for the Nymph more then he liked to admit, even to himself.
He was brought out of his thoughts by the sounds of large footsteps, seeing his little companion fly off toward them brought the Imperial to his feet. Tail flicking to jingle the bells attached to fabric on the end, slowly shifting to let the sound of armor clinking ring out as well. If they got near and ate some of the plants, they'd fall ill. And if it got bad enough, probably die. He heard the steps pause, and then continue. Lovely. Just lovely. They were ignoring his warnings. Didn't they know this place was dangerous? Well, if they didn't then they should!
