Lair Emissary

Early Years

Ellendil's parents were on a mission to Siltaria's Lair in the Wind Flight lands, when his mother realized she was with egg. They completed their mission, and stayed until the egg was hatched. They desperately needed to return to Ice Flight lands and their own lair and were thrilled when Siltaria offered to take little Ellendil into the lair and raise them well, with a promise that he would indeed visit them as often as possible.

He traveled with others from the lair to visit his parents, and they also visited when their duties permitted during their own travels. It was a blessing to Siltaria's Lair when he decided that he would remain in Wind Flight, loving his home and surrogate family, but with so much travel and feeling so close to his parents, he often undertook small assignments from SIltaria, until she simply made it a formal title and position for the Lair: Emissary.

He met the love of his life when he was on a mission to Light Flight, and brought her home with him at the end of that mission. They discovered that together they were a formidable team, and they always travel together now, enjoying each other and making new friends every trip.

Ellendil and his Mate, Hime

Whenever the lair is in need of Emissaries to other lairs, they call on Hime and Ellendil, certain that they will accomplish whatever task is set. They deliver documents, open negotiations, and explore territories that might offer beneficial relations to the lair. Most often they are sent to Light Flight lairs, betting on Hime's knowledge of LIght Flight territories and cultures to ensure success in their ventures.

When their first children were born, they lingered only long enough to hatch their young and see them settled before they were off on another mission or adventure. It was clear to the lair, however that their children had the travel bug and the calm and gracious manner of their parents. It was a delight to watch them bring home presents from far off lairs and see the hatchlings dance with glee and treat the new treasures as if they from the deities themselves.
