Katsu is a man used to danger- paranoia about what might possibly happen clings to him like a cloud despite the safety and security around him. He’s angry about what’s happened in his life, and trust from him comes rarely and with a lot of work. Even when earned he'll quickly revoke it should he feel something is off. There’s a lot of things he doesn’t like- the unknown, children, and being alone or unarmed among others. Almost all of his dislikes put him in contrast to Adeline, and because of this he makes a near perfect secondary to her. You’d think they would hate each other but no, there’s a trust between them that’s rarely found- if they're arguing it's generally because they're hashing things out and coming to an agreement. She knows he wants her to consider other options (namely the option that things might go real bad), and Katsu's gotten used to her reassurance. He’ll challenge other people to see what kind of person they are, and while some part of him is afraid this all could go poorly there’s a strength underneath that tells you he’ll fight to the bloody end. He doesn’t want this to go as it has all the times before- people buried beneath the waves of war or treachery or just plain poor luck. A small bit of his determination is of course making up for the past, but here he’s coming into his own. People listen to and support him, and his boss he respects and has a fondness for. He’s not sure if he actually likes that she’ll throw herself full body into defending him, but it certainly makes one feel secure. He’s the general of the metal army the city commands- the stone borers and steelhounds made by Team Hell’s Half Acre (aka West, Sparks, Lady and Grenfell), and he’s always happy to meet with them and see what else they can make. He’s snarky and generally tells you exactly what he thinks, even if its a poor opinion, but if you can move past that he’s one of the most loyal friends you could have. ▬▬ ADDITIONAL ▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬▬

-Missing his left arm and eye, and doesn't care about getting them replaced or having prosthesis. It is what it is: a good reminder. -Knows that Adeline is especially protective of him and is half appreciative half annoyed. -One of the few people that likes Sparks' destructive/disruptive tendencies, though he's not so fond of her cuffing people that get too near his space while yelling 'He doesn't LIKE being touched!' -That she also does this for Etzel is the only reason he puts up with it -Not very good at personal conversation, though he'll honestly try with some people -Knows he's paranoid. He considers that half of his point of existing. Someone has to keep a goddamn eye out.
