Coral loves the water and shares his mother's hoarding habits, collecting pretty shells and sea glass that wash up on the beach. His favourite parts of the coast are the rock pools where crabs and other creatures live, and in general he prefers to stay in the shallows where he can still feel the sand beneath his feet.
Coral isn't a great swimmer, but Coelacanth is slowly teaching him, and they frequently snorkel together. He loves the various exotic fish and vibrant coral reefs, when the sunshine pours into the sea and illuminates the sandy sea shelves. However, deeper and darker waters with thick kelp forests make him feel claustrophobic, and Coelacanth can't convince him to explore any further.
