CHAUCER
Winemaker and Viticulturist A self-proclaimed (and well earned) sommelier by trade, Chaucer traveled to his current clan within the Lightning flight after embarking on a wine-fueled journey throughout the world of Sornieth. Originally from the Ice flight, Chaucer had learned the secrets to winemaking at a young age and was smitten. While it was quite unusual to find a vineyard in such a cold landscape, the wildclaw learned the ins and outs of cultivating the right grapes to create his beloved drink to the point where he practically became an expert. However, the world of his birth clan was far too small for Chaucer and his growing affinity for wine, and so he decided he would travel the world to learn all that he could and taste the different fruity spirits he came across. Chaucer spent time at several clans in his travels, but the one that he chose to stay in currently seemed to be the best choice for him. He’d learned much on his travels, and his winemaking skills improved tenfold what they had back home. He had become a well-traveled dragon, having seen and experienced much in his life. This particular clan had been in search of someone fitting Chaucer’s expertise to help them expand their lair’s offerings, specifically edible concoctions. Chaucer had yet to visit a clan within the lightning flight, and at the offer he was immediately delighted with the possibilities. He’d heard of the electricity that seemed to surge through the land the lightning flight clans resided in, and his curiosity of whether or not it had infused itself within the fruits grown in the soil had him already planning the vineyard’s offerings. Paired with healthy beehives, Chaucer grew in excitement to begin his wine and mead creations within his new clan. Within the time spent in his new clan, Chaucer has already found himself feeling at home. His beloved companion, an alstroemeria fox, has been by his side for most of it. He loves her so much that he had made a plush of her, much to his companions delight (though with inquisitive looks at the doppleganger). Chaucer has even found love in his new clan: a coatl aptly named Syrah. The two seem meant for each other, as they both are fans of wine. Though she goes more for the darker reds that pair better with red meat, Chaucer and Syrah are quite happy and he enjoys conversing with her on his creations in the clan’s vineyard. Lore by #36344 |
