Anaster

Anaster wasn't always cold and reserved. When he was born he was fun and had his moments of being clumsy; although, that quickly changed.

As Anaster was exploring the tallest glacier he could find, his pearl was stolen. He knew he couldn't return home without his pearl because he would be pushed aside and laughed at, so he didn'y. He started his quest to find his pearl, looking high and low. Every glacier he stumbled upon was searched. For the most part he would fly around everyday. Losing his hope little by liitle.

Weeks later he was flying higher than he had before a gleam was coming from the snow. His hope lost he played it off as a trick of the light. Hours later (still searching the same glacier) when his wingswere too tired to flap and his feet were dragging in the snow, he came upon a cave. Anaster saught refuge in the cave when he noticed that there were tattered rags and an old fire pit. Curious and on edge he scouted the cave. Not finding any signs of life, he went to return to the entrance when he saw the same gleam as earlier. This time he found himself being drawn to it. The closer he got, the better he could see it.

There, frosen into the cave's wall was his pearl. With excitment, he went to pull it out. As soon as he touched it, the wall started to crack and Anaster tried backing away, scared that he had caused this. Instread, the pearl brought him even closer. He could see the glow coming from him and was astonished. The wall shot towards him, clinging to his scales.

He lost a lot the day: his laughter, his friends, even his home. But he also gained his pearl and new powers. The ice from the wall bonded with his skin and the transformation allowed him to be able to fight back. He can give frostbite on will to anyone who tries to harm him. It's how he met the love of his life.

After he was pushed away for being gone for months, Anaster set out to find a new home. On his way some dragon found him during the night. It was Glanmor. A gorgeous Skydancer that wanted to help him. In his state of protection, he shot frostbite at her. It didn't kill her, but she directed him to her home where Neve set out to heal her. Neve wasn't able to completely remove the frostbite, so Glanmor has a permanent reminder of it.

Instead of pushing him away, she welcomed him with open claws and made him feel at home in a land he had never been in.
