Apricot

The day The Tidelord disappeared was the most important day for Apricot, despite not even being hatched yet. His egg was found shortly after the deity disappeared. Due to the desperate state of the war torn clan, he was propped up as the Gift of the Tidelord. He was raised as someone special, a literal gift from a missing god. It was a lonely childhood, but he wasn't unloved. He feels partially responsible for the missing lord. Now that he is older he spends what time he has flying, swimming, digging, looking for any sign of The Tidelord.
Apricot remembered the day the Founder's retired. He was expecting to become the new leader of the clan, as that is how he had been treated his whole life. When it was handed to a pearlcatcher with a broken pearl he couldn't help to feel slight relief and intense jealousy. Everything he thought he was raised for, gone, in a second, because a dragon is barely older than him reappearing.
He is less jealous now, but he still goes to the hibernating clan and vents his frustrations before leaving to find the Tidelord.
After all, what else is he good for?
