Uh-oh, looks like this adventure seeking noodle wandered a little too far from her home lair (374800, Mediguro) , and now she's off to see the world! If ever you feel the need to exalt, she'd really appreciate it if you could just return her to the home lair, or to the 'Dragons Off To See The World' thread, here.
This is not necessary, but she would be very grateful!

Personality
Adventurous and very curious, Aerwyna hates sitting around and doing nothing. Her hyperactive nature pushes her to move from place to place, and from dragon to dragon.
Due to attention span being very short staying in one place for a long time is boring and she loves to experience meeting new dragons and exploring lands and creatures she's never seen before.

My Travel Journal

- Mediguro -

I've decided to leave the place I've called home since I was a hatchling, the thought of having the adventure of a lifetime is too sweet to resist; May whichever great diety who's lands I end up in protect me, and guide me as I travel into the unknown.
Hopefully to return from whence i came with many stories to tell.

I began by flying to the very northern area of my ice wonderland home. It was not the bright green that first caught my eye, nor the vibrate purple glow, but the red sense of danger that drew my attention. I skipped those places, first to encounter a real challenge, the corrupted lands of plague. It was frightening, but exciting all in the same emotion! The world was bare of any real sign of plant life. The creatures looked barely alive, but seemed to have a fierce energy. There was a constant battle between one entity and the next. I wanted to experience this land in it's struggle as soon as I could. So I found the first dragons I could, and introduced myself!
The dragons I found were an odd mix. Half seemed as though they were walking zombies, flesh rotting from their bones. The others were vibrant artists, and story tellers! The creatives seemed to come here from different lands, all finding a common ground here in the barren wastelands. One of the artists (Mael), even thought I was pretty, so he used various colored coals to draw a picture of me!
All was exciting, until their self proclaimed leader showed up. His aura was dark, and his broken, yet stern posture was even more vile. He did not take kindly to my being a stranger in his territory. Thankfully the creatives spoke in my favor. He agreed to let me leave safely, if I could survive a night of battling creatures. How crude he was! I had never battled before! But I suppose it was this, or death by his filthy claws. So I did what he asked.
It was scary at first, but I did it! I held my own! Their leader did not seem impressed, but he did what he said, and had his more wicked appearing comrades lead me through safely. I learned a lot from this place though, I am glad it was my first choice!

Next stop on my travels were the Windy plains. Although it seemed rather boring to hang around, I still did it in hopes of finding a decent challenge in whatever form it may come. I traveled from Clan to Clan, from the grassy steppes to the harsh cliffs many locals used to jump off and glide into the air.
While staring at them, some as young as a day or two yet so fearless, I seemed to have caught someone's eye. He looked at me with a grin and I could tell he was strong, despite being on the smaller end of the stick as far as Guardians go. As he spread his wings, the blue crystal at the tips of his ribbons chimed against his cloak made of something stronger than cloth; perhaps some sort of metal. All of a sudden, he lunged at me.
All that forced fighting in the Plague lands now became my advantage as my speed and agility countered his weight and strength. It was obvious he was a much more experienced fighter than I was, but I was not about to bow down and let myself be beaten! Soon enough, it became obvious he was not planning to harm me; but it was more like some sort of a battle training, a friendly tussle, if you wish to call it so. It took me off guard, of course, but soon after, I too got wrapped up into it and even enjoyed the sudden adrenaline rush and trying to outwit this unsuspecting partner o' mine.
in such a way; it will surely help me on my travelIn the end, my thin and nimble body came out victorious, as I managed to wrap it around his, forcing him to stomp his foot on the ground and admit defeat after a few unsuccessful attempts in freeing himself off my grip. Only then had I noticed that we gathered a rather big crowd that must've cheered us on as we were going at it, but now went silent. Perhaps fighting with one of them was not the smartest move, and I became slightly agitated with their quiet stares. A quick thought made me decide it would be best to leave before they take me for a serious threat of sorts. Yet, as I rose up into the air, my sparring partner stomped his foot again.
As I looked down, I saw him grinning back at me, but not in an unfriendly, evil way. With a sweep of his tail, something flew towards me, a bag of sorts (how did it turn up there, I never noticed) and instinctively, I wafted at it but then realized it was just a piece of cloth with a string tied on top. Managing to grab it before it hit the ground, we exchanged wordless nods and I left, daring to open it only when I deemed I was far enough from his Clan. In it was enough food to last me at least two days! Pleased with myself, I continued my journey, using the string that tied the bag to make a bow for myself, and a reminder of how capable of being on my own I already became. Perhaps I should continue improving my body s.

Next, I headed up to the murky woodlands where the dragons of Shadow resided. For miles, all I could see is night and fog swirling around me. Only the glowing mushrooms guided my way through the brambles, and many times have I gotten tangled in them. Food was scarce and hard to catch, and I had already tore through my rations, leaving me starving for days. After a few days in this land, a flash of purple caught my eye. Looking around, I saw a dragon like myself, nimbly twisting his way through the natural hazards without getting himself caught in it. Seeing him, I thought that maybe he could help me. I spoke up, calling for help. My cry immediately grabbed his attention, and the other dragon flew over to me. Seeing his purple eyes, I knew immediately that this was a child of the Shadowbinder, the flight's reigning deity. I asked him to help guide me through this maze, and he gladly accepted.

My hunger was clawing at me, but this dragon was adept at feeding himself, having lived here for all of his life. After one of his catches, a hellbender, I asked him if I could have it. However, shadows engulfed it before he replied. He remained rather light-hearted about it, saying it was unfortunate. I let out a groan. Quickly, the shadows dissipated, revealing the hellbender to the twilight. The purple dragon chuckled at his little trick, and happily gave me it. I had never liked amphibians, preferring insects over them, but it was the best meal I had tasted in a while. Perhaps hunger played a role.

I thanked him, and asked him his name. Nightshade was his reply. I told him mine, too. We continued to travel, and he even shared his catches with me. Hours later, we had reached a staircase where brilliant light started to touch the sunken land, turning the grass to a yellow-green color. I squinted. Days in the darkness had taken a toll on my eyesight, and now, I was especially sensitive to the light. Giving Nightshade one last thank you, I dashed into the light, hoping for a peaceful rest. From there, I would continue my journey.

My next stop were the great spires of crystal, on the edges of Arcane land. I had never seen anything so strange - pink crags of glittering rock soaring higher than I could even fly. For all its beauty, it seemed rather barren, until I caught sight of a network of little caves and paths carved into the spires above my head. I wondered who could possibly make their home up there.

Surprisingly, there were many dragons there, of varying species, even; the only things they seemed to have in common were the red shades of their scales and the scrolls they clung to, aside from the more colourful dragons I presumed were visitors like myself. They lead me to the back and I was met with an odd little fae by the name of Tabantha, who had seemed to be in the middle of charting a constellation. There was an air of authority about her, so I had no doubt when she introduced herself as their director. Despite this, she was a rather friendly creature, even taking the time to set down her charts and show me around their facilities. The Highspine Archives, they were called. Tabantha explained that they existed to catalogue various findings from their lands and beyond, and that they were rather popular with travellers seeking knowledge; at this point, she added they had both good and not-so-good items here, and that I should be careful what I touch.

Old parchments and glowing runes weren't the only things I found here. On my first day, I was introduced to the many various residents; while the vast majority of them were kindly enough to look up from their work and chatter a little, I came upon Rybak. An imperial of crimson and gold hue, he seemed in temper firey as the sheen of his scales, not even looking up from his records and even snapping bitterly at me when I offered conversation. I was sure I wouldn't be striking up anything with him soon, but, as fate may have it, I did. Later in the evening, he asked for me to forgive him for how he acted — being holed up and surrounded by old papers all the time could do that to you. As it turned out, we had a lot in common: we both held deep curiosity about the world, and longed to explore it. Fate seemed to take another turn, for soon I had a family of my own. Four hatchlings, named Hebras, Arcmist, Kesan, and, at Rybak's request, Aerwyn. I even befriended one of the many native sakura owls that nested near the spines, Remura, who became my constant companion.

I knew I wanted to adventure beyond the archives, even then, but I am not so heartless as to leave forever. I plan, and promised, to visit often, and I do not break my promises. For now, I take my leave, Remura by my side and a pearl ring, a gift from Rybak and a reminder of this place, on my claw.
