S T O R Y
Section I. Radinen possesses a strange power that was passed down by his Mother. He is able to use strong Ice magic despite being a Wind dragon, however his emotions rule this power. He had to keep himself “in-check” in order to not permanently freeze everyone and everything, similar to his Mother’s power. It was when he saw his brother get taken away by his cold Father, Skjold that he started to lose control of his powers as he felt guilt shake his whole being. He was hard to be around as everything he touched froze, so he kept himself near his Mother and away from others. --- Section II. Just as Radinen started to process his guilt, the clan fell apart because of Treya’s tyranny. Instead of guilt he then felt anger. He wished her dead and wanted to leave the clan, but his Mother did not want to and so he stayed, fighting the anger within him and feeling hopeless. Hope only started to come to him when Osian arrived and extended his kindness to his home. He saw his home start to heal and he became proactive in its recovery. However, the decision to let Treya become a leader again has left a horrid taste in his mouth --- Section III. It has been many years and Radinen has slowly worked through his guilt and anger, becoming wiser and in control of himself. He is not near his Mother as often though checks on her occasionally as he prefers to stay at the Traveler’s Home, taking care of the clan’s library known as the Windward. Radinen regards Osian in high respects as he believes Osian saved the clan from ruin, but he is not delusional. The Fae has no experience in leadership and travels so often that he misses important developments in the clan. Radinen hates to think it, but he knows that without Treya the clan would be in shambles just under Osian’s leadership. He can only hope Treya had learned her lesson and prevent any shortcomings.

He is glad his mother, like him, has processed her grief making him choose to be less proactive in her life as he feels safer regarding her mental state. Despite that, he still keeps her updated and will spend time with her when she stays at the Home. Rarely does Radinen allow his Fate to be read by his mother. He feels it can be exhausting for her to use her power so much as he wishes for her to rest. |

Radinen does not know anything about Chenek besides that he stays with another traveling clan and that his power was killing him so he had to leave. He tries to send letters in hopes to let Chenek know he wishes to see him, however he has never received one back. His letters are less frequent now, but on occasion he will attempt again. |

He hated Treya with all of his being when he was younger, but as time passed his hatred turned more into a distaste for her. He argues with her constantly as he tries to foil any plans that could harm the clan. However, Radinen cannot help but feel a sense of sympathy for her. He knows he can never understand the pressure of leading and what choices are left on her shoulders… he just wishes she would see farther than just her pride and selfishness. |

Auroris took a place in Radinen’s heart that he never knew could exist. He found himself fumbling his well crafted words and wishing to stay by her side often. Then, she felt the same and they became mates. He wishes she could stay with him or him with her, but they have important duties to fill. He sends many letters to her and visits her thrice every month reveling in the times they do have together. |
