Trotting through the tall grass surrounding the liar, you hear a loud hiss. A curse escapes your mouth as you jump back. Looking down, you see a angered buttersnake. A buttersnake that arches itself up and launches itself towards you. Bracing for impact, you close your eyes, but the bite never comes. Hesitantly, you pop one eye open. A mulberry-shaded Pearlcatcher has saved you from your bite-ridden fate. “Sorry about that, this little guy he managed to escape his containment.” He explains. You erupt in a heap of ‘thanks yous’ and many other praises. The dragon chuckles. “No problem, I honestly just need to be more careful of the cages I got for these fellas.”. You question a bit more about him and the buttersnake. “Oh! Well, I just have a certain love for these little guys. A lot of little guys, actually.” The aggressive reptile seemed to have calmed down now that he was in claws of- Oh! You don’t know this dudes name, you should fix that. You introduce yourself happily. “I’m Aster, keeper of buttersnakes!”. You can’t help but cringe at the title he gave himself. “Ah, I best be heading back, Rebutia will have my pearl if she knew another on snakes got out! Feel free to come back sometime, though!” The keeper calls out to you, trotting back to the lair.
