»━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━« No one thought she would end up the way she did. She was the daughter of the clan's healer. She had a different name back then. All of that changed on the day she was led away from her knight, Gael, to go down to the seaside with Seivin. She remembers what he whispered to her: "this is the Sea of a Thousand Currents. In every bubble there is a prophecy. Every ripple carries a vision." Then he pushed her in, and one million omens frothed madly around her as she struggled to draw breath. Seivin's proud figure disappeared into rippling darkness. Caught in the ebb and flow of the tide, she lived and died countless times, and at the beginning of each new life she was newly baptized by the dark currents. There in the cold depths, she came to call herself Cyanotic. When her body was fished up, she horrified onlookers by thrashing on the sand as though she'd just hatched and was still learning to use her limbs. Air had become harder for her to breathe than water, and the light of day seared her eyes. Although the clan rejoiced at having her back, she wasn't the same young lady who had so innocently wandered down to the shore only weeks ago. Even when she could breathe, she wouldn't speak. No one blamed her-- she was clearly shocked, or so it was easy to think until they saw the uncanny new knowledge in her eyes. When Seivin embraced her and declared her his mate, everyone grew suspicious. They couldn't very well accuse him of murder-- in a technical sense, Cyanotic was not dead, though neither was she entirely living. While most of the clan chose to honor their decision to mate, their union was soured by suspicions of foul play, and Yahargul was asked to assign spies to confirm the worst. Said spies reported that whenever she was alone with Seivin, she would whisper spells and prophecies to him in her thin little voice, and all foretold his rise to power. Cyanotic's body is covered with odd, resinous blue patches through which her muscles, organs, or bones are visible upon close inspection. Liquid sloshes and bubbles visibly within these strange spots. It is said that the patches of her flesh that were eaten away by the creatures of the deep were mended with the tears of her father and mother, but fanciful talk like that is widely dismissed as hyperbole. From time to time, she drips seawater from her eyes, mouth, and nose. Because Cyanotic is effectively undead, she and Seivin have never been able to produce any offspring; a fact which some of the clan believes to be for the best. Despite her delicate physical state, she is often seen dancing with Seivin, smiling as she rarely does for anyone except her parents (though she hardly seems to recognize either of them anymore). Regardless of the cloud of suspicion that always hangs above her relationship with Seivin, the two at least seem to genuinely love each other. ╭━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━━╮
