Biography
Bacchus was born in the Starfall Isles, curious and energetic as many of the Spiral breed are— only enhanced by his flight ten fold. Rather oblivious as well, he was a handful as a young hatchling and sent to the Sunbeam Ruins in the hope that his energy could be channeled into a more refined form.
And so the young Spiral came to the clan, before issues arose with Chevalier, and yet he was still a handful. Truly a “partier” dragon, he’s the first to induce a frenzied display of joy and the last to stop spinning midair. No more does the lore ring true for Spirals than with Bacchus- as when he’s not awake, he’s slumped over some building snoozing.
He has come to have different mates in his Light clan, and one of his daughters, Rakshasi, even resides still within the same borders. His high energy levels make him difficult to stay with for long, but as lovers are, he enjoys the life he leads. (Although his daughter doesn’t take much from her father at all.)
While his frenzies can be troubling sometimes during more serious moments of clan life— the reason he has been allowed to remain living here is precisely because of the joy he brings to his clan mates. The parties go on until dawn, but usually Bacchus causes them in the times where levity is needed. Certain clan mates do dislike these events, but overall he is easily able to lighten the mood, aided by his Arcane magic. His Dappled Seal companion also brings about a ruckus right by his side, but also thankfully helps to gather fish and other important items from the sea when not partying.
So in a sense, maybe Bacchus has become a bit “more contained” while under the gaze of the Lightweaver. Truly not all life must be subscribed to one serious philosophy— but overall there must be a balance of the two. (Something many Light dragons seem to forget, particularly the native breed of Pearlcatchers.)
A “liberator” true, Bacchus is the first to bring about change when called for. That is the key factor about him, being more than a simple call for “Carpe diem!”
He will most likely never settle down too much for long, but should a situation call for his talents— he is ready.
