thoughtful, wise, loves riddles and old myths, very kind and friendly
Oakenshield is known by the clan as the Protector of Trees. He has an affinity for the ancient spirits of the trees that make up the borders of their clan territory and he spends his time devoting himself to the care and health of said trees. Because of the fact that the clan keep all their nests safely built high up in the trees, they need a lot of extra care and attention to keep strong and healthy. Oakenshield is behind every bit of their beautiful appearance.
The strong, capable guardian has a magical ability to detect the emotions of plants. Some dragons would consider him silly for even believing that plants have emotions or feelings, but when asked, he will say that every living thing, no matter how simple, can feel to some accord. Whether it be the slightest twinge of discontent or happiness, it is always there.
Oakenshield uses his ability to control the growing environment for even the largest of trees. He knows when to fertilize the earth around the clan's territory, when to keep the ground extra saturated in certain parts for certain trees. He has a big part in keeping the clan's home looking clean and healthy, as the trees that surround them are a big part in their protection.
Being a huge fan of mythology and folktales, Oakenshield spends his down time at Vayle's library, searching out new reading material. From time to time, he will save an evening to read scary stories to the hatchlings that dare to sit in on a session. Oakenshield has a wonderfully pleasant voice, and is a pro at manipulating it for an exciting reading for the kiddos. He's adored by most of the lady dragons of the clan, and even by some males.
Oakenshield is also responsible for hanging chimes in the trees during festivals. Sometimes he hangs them just for an extra smile or two from his clan mates.
