"Blanche" is the name given to an apparition that only appears in the nighttime snow. It is hard to pinpoint in a rush of flurries. Its camouflage is frankly impressive; rarely is even a silhouette seen. The main tells to its presence are a flash of crimson plumage or a wisp of gray smoke.

No dragon has ever contacted it, as it dissolves into thin air when approached. It will never manifest closer than a spiral's-length away from the dragon it is following. While harmless, believers claim it has an unsettling aura.
