Biography

Mystic, old friend of Solute
Thaseus doesn't look like your typical mystic, but it's his main occupation. He used to live in the half buried ruins of an old mansion deep in the Wispwillow Grove. The ruins offered shelter to a small community of dragons who transformed them into a comfortable lair, mostly hidden from view. These dragons have their own customs and ways of paying tribute to the Shadow binder. To outsiders they appear as a curious, but harmless cult.
Wishing to keep to themselves and stay out of the conflicts of the outside world, Thaseus' old clan wasn't easy to find or approach. The tundra was one of the more outgoing members, he'd even occasionally venture to other clans to negotiate trades or services.
Thaseus was called upon to deal with supernatural problems, like hauntings, curses or inexplicable occurrences. While his natural affinity with psychic energies helps, his methods are mostly based in study and logic. He's a decently skilled mage in his own right and draws on the elemental magic of the Tangled Wood to banish malevolent spirits and put wandering souls to rest.
Thaseus is a very mellow, easygoing guy. He's a tad gloomy in conversation but he'll make his guests and customers feel at home. In his former community he never held a position of note (some of the leader figures weren't keen on his reaching out to other clans), but he was comfortable with that. While he loved his home, recent developments and rising zealousness among the other members made him wary and caused him to stay away for longer periods than before. After tensions grew too high for his comfort, Thaseus decided not to return after one of his outings.
Solute used to be a member of a clan Thaseus visited once or twice. The two got along well and kept contact for years, until the ridgeback moved to the Southern Icefield. The first days after his desertion Thaseus stayed with Solute's clan. However, when his former clanmates caught wind of it they grew afraid that Thaseus would tell others about them and draw attention to their lair. They sent out agents to retrieve him, but fortunately Solute and the others were able to stop their efforts. Not wanting to bring his friend into danger, Thaseus left and disappeared into the depths of the Tangled Wood.
The tundra keeps track of his friends by keeping some object or minutia that carries their scent. Solute's is a small broken pocket watch that he used to wear on a bracelet.
