____Although he lives with the others in the clan, Merlyn is actually kind of a loner who does bounty hunting work. Were it not for Ire, he likely would've left the clan indefinitely. But since she's here, and his daughter is as well, he stays

____He often travels away from the clan, often for weeks at a time before returning. Merlyn doesn't seem to mind being alone all that much though, as he isn't very social even when around other dragons. Ire seems to do most of the talking for him

HATCHING DAY

____It was the day of a sudden and unforeseen sunshower. Of the Aura's first clutch, only one egg remained, and she was starting to worry. "he's late," she stated simply, worry dripping from her voice "the others hatched days ago..." her mate Aeolus rested his head atop hers "it will be fine" the moment he said this, they heard a loud crack and both of the imperials looked down at their nest to see the last egg falling apart around a rather large hatchling, bigger than his siblings had been. Sensing his strong magical potential, he was named Merlyn

YOUTH

____The only sound any of the hatchlings heard was the thunk of the three-pronged spear hitting the target the traveler had aimed for. it was magnificent!! Merlyn had never seen something so powerful, yet graceful before. he simply had to learn how to use one. When the traveler, a large guardian, had completed her little demonstration, Merlyn was first in line to ask her all about this new and interesting weapon she called a 'Trident'

FIRST TRAVELS

____Tethys had returned to trade with his clan for supplies. This was Merlyn's second time seeing her, only this time, he wasn't an awkward little hatchling with feet too big for the rest of him. He was nearly an adult, and an adventurous one at that. This time he planned to leave whenever Tethys did, and become her apprentice. He'd asked to be her apprentice the first time she'd traveled through his clan, but she'd denied his request. This time she'd agreed, on the condition he could keep up with her...
